These terms govern your use of the Steel City Cleaning website and any quote or booking you make through it. By using the site you agree to them.
1. About us
Steel City Cleaning is a sole-trader cleaning business based in Sheffield. Contact: steelcitycleaning.stc@gmail.com · 07961 675 640.
2. Quotes
Quotes provided through this site or by phone/email are estimates based on the information you give us. The final price may change once we see the property - for example if access is harder than described, the area is larger, or additional treatment is needed. We will always confirm any change with you before doing extra work.
3. Bookings & cancellations
- A booking is confirmed once we have agreed a date in writing (text, WhatsApp or email).
- Please give us at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or rearrange. Late cancellations may incur a small call-out fee to cover travel and lost time.
- We may need to rearrange in extreme weather (high winds, heavy rain) for safety. We'll do this as early as possible.
4. Payment
Payment is due on completion of work unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept bank transfer and cash. Invoices not settled within 14 days may be subject to interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 where applicable.
5. Access & utilities
You agree to provide safe access to the property and to an outdoor water and (where needed) electricity supply for window cleaning and similar work. Our truck-mounted carpet system is self-powered and does not use your electricity.
6. Our work
We carry public liability insurance and follow industry best practice. We will treat your property with care, but some surfaces - especially older paintwork, fragile gutters, loose tiles or delicate fabrics - can have pre-existing damage that only becomes visible during cleaning. Please flag any concerns before we start.
7. Results
Cleaning results depend on the condition of the surface, the age and type of material, and previous treatments. While we always aim for the best possible result, we cannot guarantee removal of every stain or that worn surfaces will look new.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death, personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, our total liability for any claim relating to a single job is limited to the price paid for that job. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
9. Website content
All images, text and branding on this site are owned by Steel City Cleaning unless credited otherwise. You may not copy or republish them without permission.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
11. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top shows the current version.
